60 employees directly employed by UPM Alholma sawmill.
Altogether around 400 people work in the UPM Pietarsaari mill integrate in sawn timber and pulp production as well as in wood sourcing.
History and investment roadmap
Alholma sawmill was originally established by Wilhelm Schauman in 1896. Today it is an efficient sawmill with modern machinery and skilled people. Latest developments include renewal of sticking machine and packaging line in 2014.
