Properties of window and door wood

Window and door wood refers to sawn timber that is used specifically for the manufacture of windows and doors. It is high-quality sawn timber that meets strict requirements in terms of dimensional accuracy, appearance, and drying quality, among other things. Aesthetics and long service life are also important product characteristics.

Window and door wood is usually made from pine, but sometimes also from spruce. We supply carpenter-dried timber for windows, dried to an optimal moisture content of 10–14%. This ensures good dimensional stability and helps prevent cracking. Window and door wood should have few knots and no cracks or other defects that would impair workability or aesthetics.
