Join us in building the future of the sawmill industry!

UPM Timber offers diverse career opportunities in both production and white-collar roles. With us, traditional sawmill operations meet modern practices in a safe and encouraging work environment where teamwork and a positive attitude are highly valued.

Working in production

In production, you will be part of various stages of the sawn timber manufacturing process from sawmill operations to green sorting, sticking, kilning, and grading. Production work is mainly shift-based, and we provide thorough onboarding to safe working methods and workplace practices. In addition to production tasks, we also need skilled professionals in mechanical maintenance as well as electrical and automation maintenance. Mechanical maintenance work includes installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, while electrical and automation maintenance involves installing, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment and machinery, as well as reporting maintenance tasks in our systems. Collaboration with other teams is an essential part of the job, so problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset are key in all production roles.

White-collar roles

Our white-collar positions cover a wide range of expert roles. These include managerial positions in different areas of production, roles related to production planning, HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality), various supply chain expert roles, as well as sales and customer service positions. In these roles, strong collaboration skills, a proactive and responsible approach, and a willingness to develop operations are especially important.
